The project focuses on construction site B, which is divided into 4 parts:

Waiblingen, Germany
New construction of a residential complex on Alfred-Leikam Street in Waiblingen, Germany. This project consists of 8 residential buildings with 38 condominiums, 46 rental apartments, a daycare center and a shared underground car park. The buildings (House 1 - House 8) have 4 floors. Phnom Penh International Airport
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Phnom Penh International Airport, the busiest and largest airport in Cambodia, went through a renovation. As a part of this renovation, a Solar PV System was installed on existing roofs of the airport's buildings. Participating in this project, gbc engineers provided Roof Structural Survey, as well as Structural Analysis and Assessment Report for the terminal and ground handling building.

Royal Train Square

Phnom Penh’s Royal Railway Station was built in 1930s during the French Colonial period and made of reinforced concreted structures with western architecture, and it has become an iconic spot in the city. Our client, Train Square Co., Ltd., is conducting a renovation to turn this antique building into a modern entertainment centre and hangout spot named “Royal Train Square”. It will include shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, offices and exhibition space.

For a Child's Smile - PSE

The French Non-Governmental Organization “pour un sourire d’enfant” (PSE) - For a Child's Smile is currently constructing new school buildings. New Headquarter Building of the Lower Saxony Medical Association
Hannover, Germany
gbc engineers participated in the planning for the new headquarter building of the Lower Saxony Medical Association (Ärztekammer Niedersachsen). The building is located in Hannover, Germany. It has GFA of approx. 12.500 sqm and is divided into 02 parts due to different uses: west wing and east wing. When finished in 2021, the building will be used as offices, seminar and conference rooms. For this project, gbc engineers provided structural detailed design service.

European Commission Headquarters Building - Jean Monnet II
Luxembourg
The new European Commission Headquarters Building in Luxembourg - Jean Monnet II is currently under construction. The project will be constructed in two phases, comprising a seven-storey building and a 90-meter-high office high-rise (23-storey tower) including 4 basement levels and a total of 190.500 sqm GFA. Soon, 3,600 staff members will work in a single complex of buildings. The architectural design of the building was entrusted to KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten who delivered an outstanding architectural design. The completion of the project is scheduled for late February 2024. gbc engineers is proud to take part in this unique project.

Sports and Events Hall (SVH) in Nürnberg

New construction of a sports and events hall (SVH) in Nürnberg. The project consists of a sports hall with adjoining foyer and warehouse, as well as a 2-storey functional building with a training hall. The dimensions of the main sports hall are approximately 66m x 54m x 16m. The dimensions of the warehouse are approx. 12m x 54m x 6.6m, of the foyer approx. 12m x 54m x 7.6m and of the functional building with a training hall approx. 74m x 15mx 6.6m.

Dreiländer Galerie
Weil am Rhein, Germany
The Dreiländer Galerie is a new shopping centre with approx. 75.000 sqm GFA (16.500 sqm shopping area) in the German town of Weil am Rhein, close to the meeting point of the French and Swiss borders with Germany. The project containing three levels of retail and three levels of underground parking for 586 cars, as well as a kindergarten on the roof, it is intended to attract visitors from across the Swiss border in Basel, aided by a new tram line from there complete with turning loop. Completion of construction works is estimated end of 2020.
